Battle Fantasia, a game you have never heard of, but should!
July 11, 2008

Sadly a lot of games get lost in the hoop-la of bigger game releases. I could go into some detail of great games that just get swept under the rug…but not right now. One game that does deserve a look is Battle Fantasia by Aksys Games, developed by ARC System Works.
Battle Fantasia is a 2-D fighter made by the same guys that brought you the Guilty Gear series. Utilizing RPG elements and over the top fighting mechanics this game is shaping up to be quite lovely. The games characters are fully illustrated in great detail. If you have ever played a Guilty Gear game then you know how awesome hand drawn sprites can look. The game will support online play as well.
With absolutely amazing cel-shaded, hand drawn characters, and a very reputable company behind it, ARC System Works, this fighter could be great, sadly no one knows about it. Check out some of the screen shots below and most definitely watch the movie. The game is shipping this fall for the Xbox 360.
Again here is a link to the movie of Battle Fantasia. Also its worth noting the video says PS3, which the game is on the PS3 in Japan but not in America…at least not yet. Enjoy!

It will be ignored if released in America. That is, unless Square buys the property and slaps a Final Fantasy logo on the box.
RPG fighter FTW!!!

Lol, just putting Square Enix on the box would make people notice it….thats all they need to do.
